Firefighters contain structure fire in Daytona Beach

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Firefighters responded to a structure fire in Volusia County Tuesday morning, Daytona Beach Fire Department said.

Firefighters said the fire started around 9 a.m. at the 100 block of Lakewood Village Circle. 

Officials said when crews arrived, they found a townhome with smoke throughout. 

Firefights said they gained access to the attic and found the source of the smoke to be an air-handling unit. 

Firefighters used a water can extinguisher to ensure the fire was out. 

DBFD said no injuries were reported.
