ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando firefighters responded to a residential fire Friday at a duplex in the 30 block of E. Princeton Street.
According to the Orlando Fire Department, crews arrived to find heavy flames coming from an attached garage. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control and searched both units of the duplex, confirming no one was trapped inside.
Officials said the majority of the damage was contained to the garage and garage attic, preventing the fire from spreading significantly into the living areas of the home.
No injuries were reported.
Three adults and two children were displaced by the fire. The American Red Cross was notified to assist those affected.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Code Enforcement was also notified, and firefighters remained on scene for a fire watch.
