VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Fire destroyed a home in DeLand Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was reported just before 1 p.m. on Pennsylvania Drive.
No one was inside the home. Officials said the homeowner is out of town.
"The flames got pretty high. The trees started not catching on fire, but you could tell where the leaves got burnt," said neighbor Tyler Temperly.
No other details have been released.
Central Florida is experiencing extremely dry conditions.
The State Fire Marshal is investigating the fire.
