ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Surveillance video released Monday that shows a driver getting run over by his truck after he fell out of it as he was leaving an Orange County strip club in October.
Investigators said the driver, William Edwards, 28, had been drinking at the Dancer’s Royale strip club before the incident.
The truck then rolled down the street, hit a ditch and crashed into a home on Old Cheney Highway, officials said.
Authorities said Edwards left his driver’s license behind, and he is known at the strip club.
Investigators said that they believe Edwards was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
Troopers said Edwards ran away before they could arrest him, but he was later found and arrested.

Adrean Larrea's mother was sleeping in the room where the truck came to a stop. Larrea said it was a miracle she survived.
The Larrea family said that they were relieved that Edwards was arrested.
"If that ditch wasn't there, my mom would be in a funeral right now, underground," he said. “They had to break the window to get in to turn off the car because the car was like smoking."
The Florida Highway Patrol said security guards chased Edwards as he walked out of the strip club to try to stop him from driving.
"He ran away, didn't turn himself in. That truck ran over him and he still kept going, like, nothing even happened," Larrea said.
FHP said Edwards turned himself in a few days after they contacted his family.
Larrea said it could have been much worse and he hopes Edwards learned a lesson.
"Do not drink while driving. You could kill somebody," Larrea said.
Edwards was charged with hit-and-run.
