At approximately 1:47 p.m. Florida Highway Patrol arrived on-scene of the crash according to a report.
Early evidence showed a semi-truck was traveling eastbound on SR-44 where it lost control in an attempt to slow for a vehicle ahead of it.
The trailer attached to the semi veered into the westbound lane and collided with a 2014 Nissan Sentra that was traveling westbound on SR-44, according to FHP.
