They arrived to find one person- identified only as an 80-year-old woman form Orlando- down on the ground next to a tricycle. She was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where she died from her injuries two days later, according to FHP.
There were no witnesses to the crash, but troopers say the evidence suggests the victim was riding the tricycle on Lancaster Rd. in an unknown direction when she was struck.
Troopers say they have very limited information at this time on what kind of vehicle was involved or what direction it was traveling in before or after the collision.
According to FHP, with no witnesses, they’re still not even sure exactly what time the crash actually occurred.
Traffic Homicide Investigators say they were able to retrieve a car part at the scene from a vehicle that may have been involved. They described the part as the passenger side mirror from a black BMW 3-series between the model years of 2005 and 2011.
Troopers say the suspect vehicle should also have damage to the passenger-side mirror.

Tips called into Crimeline can be relayed anonymously and could be eligible for a reward if the information leads to an arrest.
