OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Two people were killed after a crash on the Turnpike in Osceola County near Kenansville Thursday.
The crash happened in the northbound lanes at mile marker 220 just before 3 p.m., Florida Highway Patrol troopers said.
The Turnpike was shut down for several hours in the thick of rush hour traffic.
Troopers said a tire seperation may be to blame for the one-vehicle accident.
A 45-year-old driver and a 15-year-old passenger died.
Three other passengers were injured.
They were all from West Palm Beach.
