OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash on the Florida Turnpike in Osceola County, troopers said.

The crash happened around 7:04 p.m. Thursday near mile marker 250 in Kissimmee.

Troopers said the initial investigation shows that the crash involved an Orange County Sheriff’s Office Ford F-150 and a Subaru BRZ.

The deputy was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Subaru was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

FHP did not release any other details regarding the crash.

Northbound lanes of the turnpike were blocked while troopers investigated but have since reopened.
