Extreme heat: Temperatures soar in Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. — We will have extreme heat on Wednesday.

A heat advisory is in place for Marion and Flagler counties.

The heat index will be as high as 110.

The daytime high in Orlando will soar to 97 degrees. Temperatures are about 5 to 7 degrees above average, which is significant this time of year.

There is a 30% chance of a pop-up storm.

The extreme heat will continue through Saturday.
