ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A former employee accused of stabbing his 25-year-old former Walmart Neighborhood Market boss has been arrested, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

The incident was reported shortly before 9 a.m. outside the store's gas station on Lee Road east of Interstate 4, near Eatonville, Orange County Deputy Rose Silva said.

"The struggle was pushed out of the area (and) into the parking lot," Silva said. "The suspect was able to stab the victim multiple times."

Davon Brown was taken to Florida Hospital Orlando, where he died, deputies said.

Caswayne Williams, 23, was arrested shortly after the stabbing at West Fairbanks Avenue and South Wymore Road, deputies said.

The altercation appears to have spilled over from an argument the two had earlier in the day, investigators said.

Sabrina Jones told Channel 9's Jeff Levkulich that Brown was her nephew.

"I'm devastated because he no bother nobody," Jones said. "I don't know anything right now. I know he had an argument with him last week."

The motive for the stabbing is not yet known, but Brown was his supervisor.

Williams told Channel 9's Lauren Seabrook when asked what led up to the stabbing, he said, "Harassment."

Deputies said there was at least one other person inside the store during the confrontation.

"He witnessed a struggle that occurred between an ex-employee and a current employee working at the time," Silva said.

The store has been open for about a month, deputies said.

Williams is in custody at the Orange County jail and will be charged with first-degree murder.

The entire Walmart family is saddened by this tragic loss. This was a senseless crime. Right now, our thoughts and prayers are with the family of our associate."
