The Kindness Club was created by teachers Miss Daley and Miss Linehoss.
“Just being a kind human. I think it’s never too early to start teaching kids how to be kind and be nice and help others,” Daley said.
“Teaching them those core skills that they really need to learn to communicate with one another. That kindness. That friendship that they really needed to gain due to COVID that they lost. We really see it building up,” Linehoss said.

The club has grown to up to 70 members, with students ranging from second to fifth grade.
Miguel, a fifth grader, is the captain of the Kindness Club. “It makes me feel great, because my dream has always been to help everybody who needs my help,” Miguel said.
Recently, the club made baskets for kids staying at the Ronald McDonald House. Projects range from baskets to the “Chalk the Walk Initiative,” where the kids showed off their art skills by drawing uplifting messages in chalk around their school.

“They got to write messages of positivity and kindness, and draw little happy smiley faces, flowers and just fun things. So I think they really enjoyed it and got to be creative with it,” Daley said.
“I drew a nice little message. Like a sun, like behind some clouds, saying that you can do it. Believe in yourself,” said Vada, a student in the club. “The thing I like about the Kindness Club is that people are always kind, and like, you can always make new friends there.”
