Wednesday marked the 13th day of 90s this year. That’s not normal, Waldenberger said, considering the average first 90-degree day for Orlando comes in early April.

There has also only been two days with measurable rain in 50 days in Orlando, Waldenberger said, leading to the severe drought some parts of the region are seeing.

The heat and risk of brushfires will persist through Saturday, until that evening when chances of rain begin to develop, Waldenberger said.

That leads to the possibility of rain for Easter, especially after noon. Passing showers will be possible through most of next week, along with cooler weather in the 70s.
