ORLANDO, Fla. — Early voting is happening now in all Central Florida counties.

That means people who are looking to avoid Election Day crowds can cast their ballots days ahead of this year’s primary election.
Early voting started Saturday in Seminole, Brevard, Sumter, Marion, Volusia and Flagler counties.

Orange and Osceola counties started earlier this week.
The Seminole County Elections Office released that roughly 1,400 people have already cast their ballots.
Volusia County’s Elections Office put out data that about 1,875 people have voted in person.

Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Chris Anderson said the county’s voter turnout is currently about 5%.
“We have 337,960 voters in Seminole county,” Anderson said. “About 15,500 have already cast their ballot by mail.”
The deadline to request a mail-in ballot was 5 p.m., but if you missed it, you will have to go to a polling place and vote in person.

Election officials request that voters come prepared and double-check their polling place, because many precincts have changed.
