ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol said a driver has died after a crash on the Florida Turnpike on Monday afternoon.

Troopers are on the scene of a fatal crash that happened around 3:04 p.m.
FHP said the crash happened on the northbound Florida Turnpike exit ramp and the eastbound Interstate 4 Express Lanes in Orange County.
Investigators said a 1993 Mazda MX-5 was driving northbound on the Florida Turnpike exit ramp to I-4 in the outside lane.
The Mazda driver began to change lanes towards the inside lane and lost control.
FHP said the Mazda driver overcorrected to the right, hit the outside shoulder concrete wall barrier, and then overturned onto its roof.
Troopers said the driver was pronounced deceased on-scene.
FHP said the passenger, a 19-year-old man from Saint Cloud, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
FHP said the crash remains under investigation.
