Driver dies after crashing into tree along Ocoee road

OCOEE, Fla. — A driver died after crashing into a tree along an Ocoee road, police said.

Just before 4 a.m., officers said they responded to the area of Silver Star Road east of Ocoee Landings Boulevard for a crash.

Police said they found a car on fire that crashed into a tree in the median.

The driver was the only person in the car.

They were taken to a hospital, where they later died.

The driver’s identity was not released.

Police are investigating the crash.
