BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A driver has died following a crash Tuesday afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened around 1:17 p.m. in Brevard County.
Troopers said a 2007 Nissan 350Z was driving northbound on U.S. Highway 1, approaching Montgomery Road in the outside lane.
The Nissan driver was driving above the posted speed limit, ran off the roadway to the right, and hit a ditch.
FHP said the driver and the passenger were both ejected from the car.
FHP said the driver was pronounced deceased on-scene, and the passenger was airlifted to a hospital as a trauma alert but sustained non-life threatening injuries.
FHP said the crash remains under investigation.
