ORANGE CITY, Fla. — Dozens of people lined up early to get a free at-home COVID-19 test kit in Orange City.

People drive through the parking lot at the Lowe’s on Saxon Boulevard to pick up the tests.
About 1,000 tests were given out.

Organizers started the event early because of how many people lined up.
They said they wanted to help since many people are scrambling to find tests as COVID-19 cases spike.

The tests were given out through a partnership between Family Health Source and Backpack Buddies, a nonprofit that’s been giving food to Volusia County residents in need.
