Downtown Orlando unstable scaffolding removal starts Friday after weather delay

ORLANDO, Fla. — After the weather delayed the start of work on Thursday, unstable scaffolding in downtown Orlando should actually start coming down on Friday.

Heavy machinery got into place on Orange Avenue on Thursday, but afternoon storms dampered plans to start the dismantling.

Crews are supposed to actually start taking down the leaving scaffolding on Friday, more than a week after the issued closed roads in the heart of downtown.

Taking the scaffolding down is anticipated to take around a week.
