Downtown Arts District expanding Third Thursday Orlando: Here’s what to expect

ORLANDO, Fla. — Third Thursday Orlando is back bigger and better with even more art offerings.

The Downtown Arts District is expanding its free event series to include live entertainment, a makers mark and entrance to the Orange County History Center.

The expansion allows attendees to buy $10 wristbands for drink specials, and access to other participating downtown venues.

Officials said the expansion is thanks to new partnerships with City District Main Street, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts and the Orange County Regional History Center.

“We’re thrilled to build on the success of Third Thursday Orlando so visitors can experience more of what our incredible city has to offer,” said Barbara Hartley, executive director of the Downtown Arts District. “Our partnerships allow us to broaden the Third Thursday series so guests can enjoy the arts in new and exciting ways.”

Third Thursday Orlando is held on the third Thursday of every month from 6 to 9 p.m., and event check-in is located at CityArts Orlando at 39 S. Magnolia Ave. The next event is Jan. 20.
