SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — The Seminole County Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a home in Palm Valley near Oviedo.

Firefighters were called to the home on the 3800 block of Sabal Drive shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday night.

They arrived to find flames and heavy smoke coming from the structure.

Crews from Orange County Fire Rescue and the City of Oviedo’s Fire Department responded to assist with putting out the flames.
Investigators say a dog died in the fire but no one else was hurt.
