Doctor buys 3rd downtown-area property, this one set to become meadery

A corner property in the popular Mills 50 commercial district has sold -- and the buyer’s name is becoming familiar to anyone following commercial real estate in the area surrounding downtown Orlando.

The 6,000-square-foot building at 1121 N. Mills Ave., at the southeast corner of the thoroughfare’s intersection with Lake Highland Drive, sold March 28 for $2.3 million, or $383 per square foot.

The buyer was DRNK Investors LLC, an entity affiliated with Orlando neurosurgeon Dr. Ravi Gandhi.

It is his third commercial real estate purchase in the immediate area surrounding downtown Orlando since February, when he headed a group that bought The Veranda at Thornton Park for $2.75 million.

In March, his group paid $7.4 million for the ground-floor retail component of Thornton Park Central.
