ORLANDO, Fla. — Walt Disney World is sharing a behind-the-scenes look at the work required to transform its parks for Halloween.
Nearly 80 cast members worked overnight during recent weeks to install autumn decorations before guests arrived each morning.
Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, U.S.A. now features Mickey Mouse pumpkin wreaths, autumn bunting and dozens of pumpkins. New decorations this year include expanded Dumbo and Timothy Mouse pumpkin-wreath displays in Storybook Circus.
The Holiday Services team also created the Halloween display at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs. The aviation-themed installation includes hidden ghosts, a spiderweb and other details developed with Walt Disney Imagineering.
Even as Halloween celebrations begin, the team is preparing wreaths, garlands and Christmas trees for Disney’s next seasonal transformation.
