Union leaders and Disney officials said they would continue negotiating a new cast member contract.

The company has offered to gradually raise the workers’ pay to $20 an hour over the next five years.

But the union said the pay increases are happening slower than they would prefer.

“The message is pretty clear; you hear it in the background,” Mark Hollis, union president, said. “Disney workers need a raise (and) need it now; now is when that cost of living is impacting these workers.”

“We look forward to resuming discussions with the union and reaching an agreement that raises cast member wages.”
