Disney to start demolition of DinoLand U.S.A. at Animal Kingdom

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Big changes are coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Disney has filed a notice to start demolition work in DinoLand U.S.A. as part of a major overhaul.

Closures begin Jan. 13, with the TriceraTop Spin and Fossil Fun Games set to be shut down first.

This area will be replaced by Tropical America’s expansion, including an “Encanto” ride and an “Indiana Jones” attraction.

The new attractions are expected to open in 2027.
