DeSantis announced 10 upcoming tax-free holidays, which includes children’s clothes and diapers.
The items are expensive for families in the state and will provide major savings when added up.
“Diapers are one of those things you can’t cut out of your budget. We have to have them,” said mother Elaine Karr.
Karr is a first-time mom and her daughter, Madeline, is 19 months old.

Parents will go through about 3,000 diapers in the first year of a child’s life, according to the National Diaper Bank.
Starting in July, diapers will be tax-free for an entire year for Florida families.
“It will be a relief for us because that’s what’s taking a big part of our budget right now,” Karr said.
It’s one of several sales tax holidays the governor signed into law while in Ocala.

“This is actually the largest tax relief in the history of the state of Florida,” DeSantis said. “Families are going to be able to save for things that really matter for them.”
