FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — An Orange County teen is under arrest after deputies say he led them on a multicounty chase that ended in Flagler County Friday evening.
Investigators said the incident began when the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office notified Flagler County deputies that a stolen car was being tracked by the car’s onboard navigation system driving on Interstate 95 at speeds of 95 mph.

The sheriff’s office said they then spotted the car on I-95 near Old Dixie Highway driving at a high rate of speed.
As deputies began following the car, dispatchers working with OnStar were able to slow down the vehicle and turn on its emergency flashers.

After the car came to a stop, the driver got out and ran into some nearby woods.
Deputies from Flagler and Volusia Counties and the Florida Highway Patrol then surrounded the area.

With the help of a sheriff’s K-9 and a Volusia County sheriff’s helicopter, deputies were able to locate 16-year-old Atrevious Hamilton of Belle Isle hiding in the woods.

After being treated for a dog bite, Hamilton was taken into custody and charged with multiple felony charges before being turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
