ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies in Orange County are investigating a shooting and stabbing inside a neighborhood.

The incident sparked a massive law enforcement response on Brook Hollow Drive and Landstar Drive Thursday night.
Crime scene tape stretched through the Willowbrook neighborhood off of Landstar Boulevard, near Town Center Boulevard.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said an argument between two men led to one of the men being stabbed by the other.

As the attacker fled the scene, he was shot at by a witness, investigators said.
The man who was stabbed was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Many people were just getting home from work and having dinner when they heard gunshots ring out.

Nerissa Pedroza, one of the residents, said she was worried for people in the area.
“Just make sure everybody was okay,” she said. “Check on my neighbors and see what was going on.”
Pedroza said the stabbing suspect hid behind cars in the neighbor’s driveway while bullets flew.

“And then he ran in between our houses and jumped the fence,” she said. “The cops mentioned that they found some blood on the fence.”
Deputies said it’s unclear if the suspect was struck by gunfire.
Channel 9 was at the scene as investigators put out evidence markers and searched two vehicles parked near the home, including a Toyota Tacoma.
Pedroza said the subdivision is typically quiet, and the shooting concerns her and the neighborhood.
“Something can happen to them, just minding their own business in the privacy of their own home,” she said.
