They said he will face two counts of first-degree murder when he is extradited to Orange County. It is unknown when he will be extradited.

Investigators said Carrasco-Camacaro was previously in a relationship with Yohanna Colmenares, one of the victims in this case.

They said Carrasco-Camacaro entered the Bastille Lane home early Sunday morning and brutally stabbed Colmenares and Alex Quintanilla, her current boyfriend. Both died of their injuries.

Detectives said they had believed Carrasco-Camacaro was traveling to a southern border state and were aware of his ties to Austin, Texas.

“Our law enforcement partners in Texas were made aware of that and were on the lookout for Carrasco-Camacaro,” a Sheriff’s Office spokesman said. “The Harris County Sheriff’s Office made the apprehension just hours ago, and OCSO homicide detectives are on their way to Texas.”
