SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. — The body of a 29-year-old Leesburg man was found Sunday evening near a burning car in The Villages development, the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office said.
Firefighters were called shortly before 6:15 p.m. to a vehicle fire at Northeast 102nd Road near East County Road 466 and Northeast 90th Street, Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Michelle Keszey said.

Joel Aaron Curry's body was found "some feet away" from a torched 2011 Ford Focus, Keszey said.
"It was determined that (Curry) was the victim of homicidal violence," Keszey said.

No other details were given.
