“We don’t usually see anything like this,” said Sally Larue, a Seminole County resident.
Larue said she was shocked to see crime scene tape at the home on Fern Drive.
“It’s sad. It really is,” she said.
Deputies said the victim was in his 50s.

“I’d like to know why he would, what would bring him to such a thing because he don’t seem like that type of person,” Larue said.
Larue shops at the store next to the house of the elderly man accused of pulling the trigger.
“Nice guy. Very polite. I don’t know his name but he’s lived here forever,” Larue said. “He doesn’t seem like he has a mean bone in his body.”
It’s unclear what the argument was about.
Deputies said the victim was acting aggressively toward the elderly man.
Investigators said it appears the elderly man fired in self-defense.
“Hey, if you got to defend yourself, you got to do what’s best for yourself,” Larue said.
