Deputies investigate after woman shot in ‘accidental discharge’ on Lynx bus in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies in Orange County are investigating after a shooting inside of a Lynx bus Monday morning.

3:10 p.m. update:

LYNX officials said the firearm that was discharged on the bus was an isolated incident with one non-life-threatening injury.

LYNX said there were no injuries to other passengers or the bus operator.

The shooting happened around 7:10 a.m. near the intersection of Alafaya Trail and East Colonial Drive.

Deputies said they were called about an “accidental discharge” of a gun on a Lynx bus.

When deputies arrived, they found a woman in her 50s who had been shot.

The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies said there is no threat to the community and an investigation is ongoing.
