POLK COUNTY, Fla. — Two people died and four more were seriously injured in a five-vehicle crash in the Four Corners area Tuesday morning, Polk County deputies said.
Deputies said the crash happened just after 6 a.m. on northbound U.S. 27 just south of U.S. 192.

All northbound lanes of U.S. 27 reopened after 11 a.m.
Deputies previously asked drivers to avoid the area.
