THE VILLAGES, Fla. — Crews are closely watching a hole that has formed between two homes in The Villages.
Landscaping crews spotted the depression Monday at a home on Lavaca Lane in Lady Lake.
"It’s something that doesn't happen every day, so you don't know how to deal with it,” said neighbor Ron Wambach.

He told Channel 9's Myrt Price that seeing the hole near his neighbor's homes reminds him of the massive 225-foot-wide sinkhole in Pasco County.
Wambach said the neighbor who lives near the hole has health issues and is in a wheelchair. The owner has since loaded up belongings and left the home.

The size and depth of the hole are unclear.
Wambach said he'll examine the situation, and “If it’s the same well, I’ll stay here tonight. If it looks bigger, I’ll go stay at a friend’s house."
