Demolition of The Ballroom at Church Street underway in downtown Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — A popular 23,000-square-foot building on Garland Avenue in downtown Orlando is in the process of coming down.

Crews are working on the demolition of The Ballroom at Church Street.

The iconic building was most recently used as a venue for weddings and other events.

However, it closed back in 2019.

A 32-story skyscraper called The Edge is planned to be built at the site.
