VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — A Volusia County man is facing a list of charges after deputies say he drove while impaired and crashed with his three children in the car with him.

Deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 17 92 at Debary Plantation Blvd. in DeBary Friday evening for a crash. The deputies immediately noted that the driver, identified as 37-year-old Larry Bryant, appeared to be impaired.

After the crash investigation was complete, deputies say they began a DUI investigation and placed Bryant under arrest.
Deputies searched Bryant’s car and found what they presumed to be possible fentanyl.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Bryant’s three children were also in the car at the time of the crash.
Deputies say the kids told them they tried multiple times to wake Bryant while he was driving before the crash.

Bryant was booked into the Volusia County Jail Friday on three counts of child neglect, possession of fentanyl, driving under the influence, and driving under the influence causing property damage.
He was released Sunday on a total of $13,000 bond. Bryant is scheduled to be arraigned at the end of August.
