Deadly hit-and-run investigation underway near busy intersection in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A deadly hit-and-run crash is under investigation near a busy intersection in Orange County.

The crash happened Wednesday at Orange Avenue and Office Court, north of West Sand Lake Road.

Just before 5:30 a.m., troopers said firefighters received a call about a person lying in a southbound lane of Orange Avenue.

The person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers determined that the person had a bicycle with them when they were struck by a car.

It is unknown if the person was riding the bicycle or walking when they were struck.
