Daytona Beach teen dies in crash along I-95 in St. Johns County

ST JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A 19-year-old from Daytona Beach died after the pickup truck he was riding in crashed along I-95 in St. Johns County.

Just before 6 p.m. on Sunday, the Florida Highway Patrol says a pickup truck with three occupants inside, all teens from Daytona Beach, was heading northbound on I-95.

The truck exited at International Golf Parkway and ran off the roadway, overturned and ended up on its roof, according to FHP.

Troopers say the rear passenger did not survive. The other two occupants of the truck suffered minor injuries.

All three were wearing seatbelts. FHP has not released the names of those involved.
