Daytona Beach police say woman accused in shooting that injured 4 brought gun into nightclub

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Police in Daytona Beach said they have arrested a woman who shot into a group of people over the weekend.

Channel 9 was there as Karla Bermudez was taken into custody Monday afternoon. Officers said Bermudez opened fire into a crowd outside of Razzles nightclub, hurting four people.

Police said she also had a gun inside the nightclub before opening fire outside.

Police Chief Jakari Young said the nightclub had metal detectors, and he’s now urging all establishments to make sure their security systems are up to date and working properly.

Bermudez now faces four charges of attempted murder.

A judge decided Tuesday that Bermudez should be held on no bond.
