Today jurors got a look at the bullets that killed Clayton.
Detectives, crime scene investigators and the medical examiner all took the stand on Wednesday. They offered difficult testimony for Clayton’s husband and family to hear.
Dr. Joshua Stephany said one of the bullets exited her body and ricocheted on the concrete or bullet proof vest and hit her in the back, but it was a bullet to her neck that was fatal.
The prosecution is on day two of calling witnesses.
Orlando police detective Peter Cadiz took the stand to talk about the manhunt for Loyd after he shot and killed his ex-girlfriend and her unborn child.

The state calls Charles “Chuck” Ashworth to the stand. He worked at Orange County Sheriff’s Office in 2017 in violent fugitive apprehension.
He is detailing what happened when he and other deputies responded to the home on Lescot Lane where Markeith Loyd was found days after Clayton was shot and killed.
