ORLANDO, Fla. — Day 2 began around 8:15 am, which was later than I expected. Since there are no windows on the Starcruiser you can’t tell if the sun is up or not and we closed the viewport on the outside of the ship which made the room completely dark! My photographer Kenny and I got dressed and went to the Crown of the Corellia Dining Room for breakfast. Again, the crew of the Halcyon served a variety of buffet items, such as waffles and syrup. A hashbrown potato with omlette and bacon on top, which were a couple of my favorite dishes that I selected. I of course topped it off with a large cup of coffee!
After breakfast we headed to the transport to Batuu which began to run around 8:40 in the morning. We were handed a pin to wear that designated we were guests aboard the Halcyon and we were handed a mask to wear on the transport.
The transport was a point of controversy before today among people who follow everything Disney, but when you step on, the inside is made to look like a part of the attraction. There are seats to sit on and there are lights and sounds that make you feel like you are on a transport ship. You never see the outside of the transport.
At 9:40am after we left the transport on Batuu, we immediately began our missions for the day to help Lt. Croy and the First Order. As we completed our missions around Batuu we visited Olga’s Cantina at 10:30am which was the time scheduled for us to visit the Cantina. We had a couple of drinks and talked with the bartender. Afterward we hit Smugglers Run. Because of our Halcyon pins and magic bands, we hit lightning lane and beat the long line.
After Smugglers run, we completed more missions around the Black Spire Outpost and then got into line for Rise of the Resistance. We were just about to go into the ride when issues arose with the ride and we were all asked to leave.
1:30 pm and we headed back to our transport to head back to the Galactic Starcruiser for lunch. Some of the food was the same from the day before, but several items such as spare ribs were added to the buffet.
After lunch we played in a Sabacc card tournament, however I did not make it to the next round. I was not dealt very good hands and lost all my credits.
At 3:30pm we headed up to Deck 6 where we were scheduled for our Bridge crew training activity.
The bridge of the Halcyon is big and there are stations you can control for weapons, shields, system operations and load operators. I was able to rotate and perform each station. The weapons station and system operations stations were my favorite.
After Bridge crew training I went to the Sublight lounge for a coffee before dinner at 5:30pm.
Whereas there was a show on the first night with dinner…tonight the food stole the show as they presented food named after different planets from the Star Wars universe, such as Mustafar and Felucia.
After dinner, I went around the Halcyon completing more tasks for Lt. Croy and we heard one last performance by Gaya the singer.
Since we were helping the First Order, we were on a path to help intercept stolen coaxium and meet Lt. Croy to plan a ship sabotage.
At 8:30pm I ran into Lt Croy as I was accessing a ship console and had a fun interaction with him, before joining him on the bridge where we helped in a battle to defend the ship.
9:30pm the shipwide alert went off and we all gathered in our muster locations in the Atrium for the final lightsaber battle between Kylo Ren and Rey on the upper deck. The crew of the Halcyon managed to turn the tables and expel the First Order from the Galactic StarCruiser, bringing the second and final night of immersive adventure to an end. My next stop is the Sublight lounge for a final night of drinks and a late night snack and probably a game of Sabacc before bed.
