Orlando Business Journal has learned that Winter Garden-based Crooked Can Brewing Co. will build a new 40,000-square-foot facility with a taproom, food hall, brewery, event space and headquarters on land in the emerging Hills of Minneola area owned by Orlando-based Skorman Development.

Why this matters: In addition to the 100 jobs this facility is expected to create once open, the project could have a similar transformational effect in Hills of Minneola as it did in downtown Winter Garden. Plans for it also could encourage additional investment from groups or concepts who want to be near it.
