Woman in her 20s shot, killed in Pine Hills, deputies say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies in Orange County are investigating a deadly shooting that happened overnight in Pine Hills.

7:23 a.m. update:

Deputies said a woman in her 20s was found shot around 11:38 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials said they were originally called out for a possible car crash before finding out the victim was shot.

Deputies said there are not able to share any information on the shooter.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a crime scene investigation in Pine Hills.

Deputies responded to the area of North Hastings Street and Balboa Drive late Tuesday night.

Channel 9 has been at the scene since around 3 a.m. Wednesday.

Deputies shut down a section of North Hastings Street.

While it was not clear what the case involved, crime scene tape was visible in the neighborhood and detectives appeared to be collecting evidence.
