WINTER PARK, Fla. — Crews discovered a time capsule during construction of a new emergency department at AdventHealth Winter Park, officials said.
The capsule was labeled “1953-1963.”
AdventHealth Winter Park CEO Justin Birmele opened the time capsule and discovered news clippings and other historical documents from the early days of the hospital.
Once the emergency room is completed, it will have all private rooms, two trauma rooms and a separate ambulance entrance from the public walk-in entrance.
