Crews break ground on homes for low-income families in Seminole County

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Crews in Seminole County broke ground on one of many homes to come for low-income families.

Affordable homes are being built using federal grant money through the American Rescue Plan Act.

The county teamed up with two developers, as well as Habitat for Humanity, that will result in 10 new affordable homes for qualified homebuyers.

In addition to a lot on Greenway Avenue, there are two other lots down there road where houses will go up.

Each home is an investment of $200,000. The homes under the program must be built and sold before December 2026.
