Publix allowed Florida residents to book a COVID-19 vaccination appointment Monday morning.
The pharmacy reopened its online portal at 7 a.m.
Vaccination appointments were available for the following people:
- Long-term care facility residents and staff
- People aged 65 years and older
- People under 65 deemed extremely vulnerable
- Health care personnel with direct patient contact
- K-12 school employees
- Sworn law enforcement officers aged 50 years and older
- Firefighters aged 50 years and older

Residents have to provide proof of residency to be vaccinated.
Publix is not allowing residents to make an appointment by phone — they must make an appointment online.
The pharmacy said the next chance residents have to book an appointment is Wednesday at 7 a.m.
Residents who book an appointment online Wednesday will receive the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine this weekend.
Publix said residents who make an appointment on Monday and Friday will receive the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
