PONCE INLET, Fla. — A senseless loss of life.
That’s how the family of Margaret Darlene Hindsley described the murder of the 89-year-old grandmother.

Ponce Inlet police arrested Hindsley’s caregiver and her caregiver’s husband Wednesday for the crime.
According to the arrest report, the couple was on Molly at the time of the murder.
Micayla Yusco went to her in-laws’ house at 5 a.m. after the murder with her husband, and told her in-laws she was God and had just killed the devil.

Hindsley’s family said she was the “happiest and kindest person you would ever meet.”
Yusco worked as Hindsley’s caregiver for four months, visiting her twice a day and Hindsley’s Ponce Inlet condominium as Hindsley recovered from surgery.
Police said Yusco and her husband, Tyden Guinn, smoked Molly then drove to Hindsley’s complex early Wednesday morning, where they entered her unlocked condo and shot the grandmother twice in the head with a 9 mm handgun.

Investigators said Yusco woke her in-laws up at 5 a.m. and told them she was god and they had just killed the devil.
Guinn’s parents took the gun and called 911.
Yusco and Guinn are locked up on a murder charge without bond. Neither has significant criminal records.
Guinn’s parents declined to comment.

In a statement, Hindsley’s family said they condemn her senseless loss of life and said Hindsley was “an independent woman full of life, family and conversation.
The family is asking for its privacy as it tried to comprehend this tragic loss.
