Commercial property in Seminole County eyed for redevelopment

A Seminole County property that currently is home to a boat and RV storage business instead may see more than 300 apartments rise soon.

Atlanta-based Watkins Real Estate Group is the applicant for a pre-application discussion regarding a major zoning amendment for the property that would allow for a 306-unit multifamily development.

The request regards a 23.6-acre site northwest of where State Road 417 crosses Slavia Road, a little more than a mile south of the Oviedo Mall.

he site includes Oviedo Boat & RV Storage at 1960 Slavia Road, as well as two adjacent parcels also owned by Wilken Property Management LLC.
