ORLANDO, Fla. — A strong cold front is set to drop temperatures in Central Florida.

The front will move through Monday afternoon and plunge our temperatures overnight.
Channel 9 is reaching out to county leaders around Central Florida to gather more details on shelters that are opening this week.

Orange County
Matthew’s Hope is opening the Orange County homeless location on Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. to Friday morning.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.
Showers are required, and limited personal items are allowed.

Volusia County
Due to the expected drop in temperatures, multiple community organizations in Volusia County will activate cold-weather shelters on Monday, Jan. 6, through Wednesday, Jan. 8.
Bridge at The Neighborhood Center
• Address: 421 S. Palmetto Ave., DeLand
• Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
• Guests are welcome to stay until about 8 a.m. the following morning after breakfast is provided.

Halifax Urban Ministries (HUM)
• HUM will coordinate shelter service with local churches
•HUM does not operate a cold-weather shelter within its facilities; it partners with local organizations to offer shelter options.
•People who need shelter or transportation to one are encouraged to contact HUM at 386-317-5886 as soon as possible.
Lake County
The Lake County government will open a cold-weather shelter on nights.
Residents needing travel accommodation to the cold weather shelter or warming station should call Lake County Connection at 352-742-2612 to arrange transportation.

Salvation Army

•Open from 7:30 p.m. to 11: 30 p.m. from Jan. 7 to Jan. 9
Flagler County
Flagler County was the first local county to confirm it is opening cold weather shelters.
The Sheltering Tree organization will open its shelter at the Rock Transformation Center, 2200 North State Street.
The shelters will be open for four nights, starting Monday through Thursday.

The county will provide bus transportation along two routes, following the schedules below:
East side of the county
• Dollar General at Publix Town Center on Market Avenue (leads to Dollar General), 3:30 p.m.
• McDonald’s at Old Kings Road South and State Road 100 at the dirt road on the east side, 4 p.m.
• Dollar Tree behind Carrabba’s in the Dollar Tree Parking lot, 4:30 p.m.
• Palm Coast Main Branch Library, northwest corner of Palm Coast Parkway and Belle Terre Parkway, 4:45 p.m.
West side of the county
• Dollar General at County Road 305 and Canal Avenue in Daytona North, 4 p.m.
• Bunnell Free Clinic, 703 Moody Boulevard, 4:30 p.m.
• Bridges United Methodist Church in Bunnell, 205 N. Pine Street, 4:30 p.m. (listed as the same pick-up time because of the close proximity).
Brevard County
The Daily Bread in Melbourne said it will offer a nighttime cold weather shelter at the Joseph N. Davis Community Center, 2547 Bruce D. Buggs Street.
The shelters will be open for four nights, starting Monday through Thursday.

The Salvation Army in Ocala will open as a shelter Monday night at 320 NW 1st Ave, Ocala, FL 34475.
Check-in time for the shelter will be at 6 p.m.
