ORLANDO, Fla. — This week, law enforcement agencies across Central Florida will be sending you an important reminder: Click It or Ticket.
It’s an effort led by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to crack down on seat belt violations.

The campaign runs from May 22 to June 4 lining up with the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
The agency said last year, nearly 1,200 people who weren’t wearing a seat belt were killed in crashes across the country.

In Central Florida, you’ll see officers and deputies on the road, ensuring you’re buckled up all week long as people get ready to travel for the long weekend.
