WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. — Winter Springs residents will now be able to beautify their yards. Beginning April 26, the City will deliver free trees to hundreds of residents as part of its annual tree giveaway event.

Residents can choose from six different types of trees and shrubs and get free delivery of what they pick.
These are the types of trees available:
- Live Oak
- Magnolia
- Red Maple
- Slash Pine
- Tuscarora Crape Myrtle
- Tea Olive
On April 10, Winter Springs Mayor Kevin McCann proclaimed April 28, 2023, Arbor Day in the City of Winter Springs. He hopes to celebrate nature and promote a healthier environment for residents.
“I urge all citizens to plant trees and promote the well-being of this and future generations,” Winter Springs Mayor Kevin McCann said on the proclamation.

According to the City, they will deliver 1200 trees to residents. Last year, they gave away over 950 trees.
Each resident that gets a free tree will also get a guide to help care for their new yard addition
